The Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC reacts to new regulations

The Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC is charging new B.C. child care regulations, announced on June 22, 2010, “will likely erode the quality of before and after school care for Kindergarten and Grade 1 children.”

The regulations make a variety of changes. Among them: allowing 1 staff person for every 12 children. That’s up from the old ratio of 1 staffer for every 10 children.
