FYI - Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health Retendering of Home Support Contracts

BCGEU officers and staff have been meeting with the four employers who will be providing home support services to seniors in the Lower Mainland. The employers are providing us with information about their plans and we are working to assist our members with problems they may be encountering with the transition in home support services.

We are assisting members with problems they have encountered with their wages and Health and Welfare benefits and we are working to resolve issues encountered by members on long term disability, maternity leave and other leaves.

Members who have been displaced are encouraged to contact the employers who have taken over the provision of home support services in their area.

We will post information to the BCGEU website as it becomes available.
